In this shoot, I spoke with my dear friend Daysu and told him exactly what I wanted, as always, he delivered. I wanted something sensual and edgy, something that showed a more mature and sexy side of me. I hope I delivered.

Another day another shoot.

This was a simple shoot that just so happen to come about, this is just a pre shoot for the up coming shoot next week, my 38th birthday shoot coming up next week. Stay on the look out for the something unexpected...

Up Close and Personal

This week I welcome Daysu of Daysu Photography. Daysu is a professional photographer based in Miami, Fl. He has been a professional photographer for over? Years and is recognized as one of Miami’s leading photographers in his field. Photographing, every aspect possible from weddings, portraits and landscapes, only a handful of photographers can be recognized at this level. Daysu definitely has a signature style that his clients love. I am a huge fan of Daysu’s work, he is a true master of light, composition and capturing the true emotions of the people he photographs.

Hi Daysu,
Kandie:Tell us a little a bit about Daysu?
Daysu: Well Daysu is an enigma. Sometimes I don’t understand myself. I’m always in search of inspiration and I pay close attention to small things, things that people normally over look. I love to create and bring thoughts to life. I feel my position on this earth is to push the envelope. Take it to the next level.
Kandie: Where is home?
Daysu: Miami
Kandie: If you could live anywhere on this awesome planet where would you build your dream home?
Daysu: I will build in India. I love the colors and the architect. The people and land is full of history and culture. If I lived there I would shoot every day.
Kandie: What is your current state of mind before we continue with the interview?
Daysu: My state of mind is “what’s next” as a photographer I’m creating some unbelievable images but now it’s time to capitalize on my craft. Don’t want to go the wedding and event route but I do want my work to be noticed and appreciated.
Kandie: Did you go to school to study photography?
Daysu: No. I’m self taught. Photography is like poetry; you study the premise and develop your own style
Kandie: How long have you been a photographer?
Daysu: In high school I was the always the one with the camera taking pictures so a few years after school I raised enough money to go to the pawn shop a buy my first professional camera. That was about 20yrs ago but I’ve been off and on.
Kandie: How long have you been a wedding photographer?
Daysu: I shot my first wedding about 15 yrs ago and I only charged the $200.00 lol!
Kandie: What or who got you started in wedding photography?
Daysu: Money
Kandie: How would you describe your style?
Daysu: My style I would say is drama. I’m always looking for that drama.
Kandie: How many weddings do you average per year?
Daysu: At one point I was doing about six but now it’s about two.. I’m not really big on weddings so I push a lot away.
